How One Financial Gift Through Global Assist Becomes an Eternal Crescendo of Thanksgiving
By Pastor Dan Williams

“For all things are for your sakes, so that as grace extends to more and more people it may increase thanksgiving, to the glory of God.”
— 2 Corinthians 4:15 (ESV)
Imagine dropping a pebble into a still pond.
One splash.
Then a ripple is formed.
Then another, and another…
The ripples keep moving outward long after the pebble disappears beneath the surface.
Paul says God’s grace works the same way.
One act of generosity doesn’t end when a gift is given. It begins a chain reaction of thanksgiving that ultimately reaches the throne of God.
Let’s follow one gift.
1. Thanksgiving in the Heart of the Giver
A believer decides to invest in God’s Kingdom.
Before anyone overseas receives a dollar, worship has already begun.
The giver thanks God for His grace, for the privilege of participating in His mission, and for allowing them to become a steward rather than merely an owner.
The first thanksgiving happens before the gift ever leaves home.
2. Thanksgiving Among the Global Assist Team
The gift arrives.
The staff of Global Assist sees another reminder that God continues to supply every need for the work He has called them to do.
They thank God—not merely because resources arrived—but because another believer has joined the mission of strengthening indigenous church planters around the world.
Their work continues because God’s people faithfully respond.
Thanksgiving grows.
3. Thanksgiving from Global Ministry Partners
Across Africa, Asia, South America, and beyond, one of Global Assist’s ministry partners receives support.
For many, these gifts answer prayers that have been offered for weeks or months.
Their gratitude rises to God because He has once again shown Himself faithful.
They know that believers whom they may never meet have become partners in the gospel.
Thanksgiving multiplies again.
4. Thanksgiving Among Church-Planting Pastors
The ministry partner gathers pastors for training.
Many have traveled long distances.
Some have sacrificed wages to attend.
They receive biblical teaching, encouragement, ministry resources, and renewed confidence to return to villages and cities where the gospel has yet to flourish.
These pastors thank God because they are no longer serving alone.
The ripple continues.
5. Thanksgiving from New Believers
One of those pastors faithfully proclaims Christ.
A family hears the gospel.
A man burdened by sin finds forgiveness.
A woman discovers the hope of Christ.
Children begin growing up hearing God’s Word.
A new church is planted.
Lives are transformed for eternity.
Hearts once filled with darkness now overflow with thanksgiving to God.
The ripple reaches eternity.
6. The Final Chorus
One day every ripple arrives at its destination.
John gives us a glimpse in Revelation 4.
Around the throne, redeemed people from every tribe, language, people, and nation gather in worship.
Every voice joins the same song.
“Worthy are You, our Lord and God to receive glory, honor and power…”
No one will be praising Global Assist.
No one will be praising generous donors.
Every thanksgiving that began with God’s grace returns to God in worship.
That is where every gift has always been headed.
One gift.
Grace extended.
Thanksgiving multiplied.
Glory returned to God.
Will You Begin Another Ripple?
Every act of generosity begins another story that God writes for His glory.
A gift becomes encouragement for a ministry partner, training for a church planter, hope for those who have never heard the gospel, thanksgiving in countless hearts, and one day, another voice in heaven declaring, “Worthy is the Lamb.”
